Dr. Myrick brings a wealth of experience to the table, having worked in various roles within the adult and juvenile correctional systems in Ohio and Rhode Island.
Dr. Myrick's educational background is equally impressive. He earned an undergraduate degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Toledo, followed by a master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Lourdes University. He has recently completed his PhD in Criminal Justice at Capella University, which makes him a true subject matter expert in his field.
Besides his work, Dr. Myrick is a very active member of his community. He is a lifetime member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice and serves on the board of Building Bridges Initiative. Dr. Myrick is also a commissioner on the Providence Human Relations Commission, serves as a member of the Governor’s COVID-19 Equity Council, and is a board member for the Rhode Island for Community and Justice Board.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr. Myrick has received several awards and accolades. In 2015, he received a Leadership Award from the African American Legacy Project, and in 2022, he was awarded a fellowship from the Hassenfeld Foundation and attended the Harvard Kennedy School.
